LienHiep Restaurant: Reviews & Ratings
Loved everything about this place! Cute mom & pop vibe. Great food & service! Really nice rice rolls/ bânh cuon like most people have mentioned I was pleasantly surprised that all my weird particulars like lighting not being too bright, music not being too loud, a clean bathroom and not too many things on the menu were checked off lol This might be my new go to spot in the neighborhood :)
We were told that this lovely family run restaurant changed hands a couple of months ago by friends of the family who were help us eating customers and talking orders while Mom was solo cooking. The portions were very generous, tasty and reasonably priced. We were there mid afternoon on a Sunday and there was a steady flow of customers. Very clean. There is ample street parking.
This is a wonderful family run and owned shop in Victoria Drive which features a ton of other pho competitors. What stands out here is the unassuming nature of the place and the simplicity of the food. Their pho broth is more clean than others, so if you like the clear, clean style, this is the place to go. The service is also great, they have one person cooking and one person serving, so be a little patient. They are very friendly people and do their best to accommodate for all languages. Very good pho shop to visit and support a small family business while you’re at it!
Went in for a quick bite and was pleasantly surprised. The food was tasty. Service was straightforward, nothing fancy but it gets the job done. Atmosphere is simple and no-frills, more of a spot to grab a meal than to linger. Overall, a solid choice if you’re in the area and want something quick and satisfying.
Quite the hole in the wall place, but food quality was impressive. A small mom and pop shop. Walking by, if you blink, you might have missed it. But quite a neighborhood gem, considering all the competition that they on the Victoria Drive strip. We ordered: Rare Beef & Beef Brisket Pho - a super tasty beef broth and lots of meat. Great for the carnivores. Special Grilled Rice Rolls & Ham - Star of the night for me. Loved every bite of the dish. Rice rolls tasted super fresh, with a great taste of the grilled pork. Highly recommend. Fried rice with salted fish - Taste was great, but it just wasn't my thing. Service was super slow, but they already had signs up that they only have one chef and to be patient. Also, don't expect much for table service either. Was it worth the wait? For the quality that they presented, absolutely. Prices were also very reasonable as well. Would want to come back to try other stuff.
Our whole family loves Vietnamese food, and we’ve tried countless restaurants across Vancouver. This one is by far the best! It’s a family-run spot with a warm atmosphere and super friendly service. The food is outstanding: the fish cake is fragrant, the broth is fresh and naturally sweet (not salty and no MSG), the pho noodles are smooth and silky, and the grilled chicken is tender, juicy, and perfectly crispy. Truly a hidden gem in Vancouver. Highly recommended!
It seems to be a family-run business, and the chef clearly holds very high standards for the food. The quality here truly stands out compared to more commercial restaurants. This kind of family-style eatery is worth supporting. The dishes are excellent—although the service can be a little slow, the quality makes it absolutely worth the wait.

What sets LienHiep apart is its simplicity and focus on quality over flair—offering traditional Vietnamese dishes that respect their roots without overwhelming the diner with an elaborate menu or flashy decor.
The highlight here is undoubtedly their bánh cuốn, or rice rolls, which many customers rave about. Fresh, delicate, and grilled to perfection, the rice rolls carry a perfect balance of textures and savory flavors, especially when paired with the grilled pork.
